The Falls – with Photos
The Falls had its soft opening yesterday morning and I stopped by to check it out. The owners have been working hard to get everything ready for the opening and yesterday was the start of a gradual work up to the full operating hours. I will save a full write up for when the restaurant is fully up and running, but for today, I thought that I could at least provide interested neighbors with some peeks at the new place. The space has been renovated since Freda’s left and now includes more tables and some sofas. The art on the walls is by Joel Cohen – who was featured in last week’s Know Your Neighbor’s column. I had a yummy (and reasonably priced) bagel, egg and cheese sandwich. There are also muffins, pastries, bagels and coffee. The menu is due to expand, as are the hours. Overall, I was welcomed warmly and look forward to this becoming a great new neighborhood meeting place. It also seemed like a great place to go and have a coffee and do some work (at least until it is discovered).
