Baltimore Education Coalition presents “Preparing for the Legislative Session”

Thank you to Lee Dix for passing along this information.  Rob English, a Mt. Washington Soccer coach, is one of the organizers of this event.  This certainly sounds like it will be an interesting meeting for anyone interested in the the legislative process in Maryland and being a part of advocating for children’s education.  If you would like to register so that you can attend, see below:

Baltimore Education Coalition Presents

“Preparing for the Legislative Session”
January 26, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 pm
Cathedral of the Incarnation  4 East University Parkway

(There is a parking lot off of Charles Street and street parking is available. The Cathedral is accessible using bus route 22)

Dessert and refreshments served 6:30-7:00 pm

  • Understand the Governor’s newly released budget
  • Build power within your school community to advocate on behalf of Baltimore City Public School students
  • Plan and attend accountability sessions in Annapolis with Baltimore City legislators
