Obituaries – M. Gordon Wolman, Margaret J. Guchemand

Submitted by on February 28, 2010 – 8:10 pmNo Comment

Several neighbors have expressed interest in the Mount Washington Post providing obituaries or death notices for neighbors or individuals with ties to the Mount Washington community.  While I do not currently have the ability to write full obituaries, I would like to help make neighbors aware of deaths when possible so that they may offer support and condolences to the families.  In this spirit, here are links to full obituaries for two Mt. Washington residents who died recently.   I will periodically provide this information as I become aware of neighbors who have passed away.

M. Gordon Wolman - Internationally respected Hopkins geomorphologist was outspoken advocate for cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay – Neighbor Gunther Wertheimer says “Mr. Wolman is among the people whose lives did make a difference.”

Margaret J. Guchemand, music teacher – Neighbor Cecilia Meisner says “Margaret was a lovely woman, and still an active volunteer at Mt. Washington Elementary School, on behalf of her grandchildren.  She will be missed!”
