Volunteer at Great Kids Farm With your Family on May 22nd

Cecilia Meisner wanted us to let everyone know that this Saturday is a Family Volunteer Day at Great Kids farm:

It is a wonderful way to spend a day outdoors with your kids and give them a chance to connect with the earth!   If you plan to attend, please email or call Nan Bambara (contact info below) so she can have a sense of how many people to expect.  However, if you decide at the last minute, please show up!   Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and bring water and sunblock if needed.   There is a place for you to have a picnic lunch at the end of the morning if you choose to bring one.

Great Kids Farm is a Baltimore City Public Schools innovative urban agricultural project.   Come ready to work and get dirty!

  • All kids must be accompanied by an adult volunteer at all times
  • Projects may include vegetable planting/harvesting, soil preparing/weeding, general farm chores and caring/tending to goats and chickens
