Chiyo Sushi Written Up in the Sun
The Sun just ran a review of Chiyo Sushi that reveals to the metro area what we in Mt. Washington already knew — great food, gracious staff, and an unpretentious environment. I was looking in the article for a snippet to quote, but the headline probably sums it up best:
Chiyo Sushi’s rolls just rock – The Mount Washington restaurant is homey, and its sushi is exceptional
Specifically mentioned in the review were the Geisha Roll, the Dragon Roll (a personal favorite of mine), the Orioles Roll, and the Nut Chicken Roll.
What the article does not mention but is critical to getting the most out of your Chiyo experience is asking for the “cheat sheet” if one is not provided with your menu. This sheet, a laminated list (front and back) of all the rolls on the menu (and many rolls not on the menu) with descriptions, is the key to getting adventurous with your order. After all, you can only get away with so many California Rolls (pictured) and still call yourself a sushi eater.
