Learn How To Tell Your Story From the Experts

Just a reminder of this event coming up this month:

For those unfamiliar with the wildly popular Stoop Storytelling series, which now regularly sells out Center Stage, seven preselected storytellers are given the opportunity to stand on-stage and tell a true seven-minute story on a common theme without notes. In addition, three audience member volunteers tell three-minute stories on the same theme just after the intermission.

Now Stoop Storytelling co-hosts Jessica Henkin and Laura Wexler will be at the Waldorf School on Saturday, October 23rd to run a storytelling workshop to help you craft your life stories.

The workshop will run from 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and the cost is $45 per person. Contact Jennifer Downs to register.  Here are more details:

Description:  Stoop Stories founders Jessica Henkin and Laura Wexler will share their process for helping people develop true, non-scripted, personal stories on a theme. Each participant will have a chance to develop his or her own 7-minute story, and some participants will be selected to share their stories with the group and get feedback.  Please bring paper, pen, and open minds and hearts.

Who might come?  Everyone who wants to tell their story.  No previous storytelling or performance experience necessary.  Folks who have done Pivot Point programs
