Village Merchants Open! Need Your Support.
When I went down to survey the village today and check on the Mount Washington Tavern, I ran into Crepe du Jour owner Mustapha Snoussi. Mustapha asked me to let all Mt. Washington neighbors and the larger community know that the Village Merchants will be open tomorrow. They are hoping that all of the roads will be open by then, but even this afternoon, it was possible to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in the Village. I know that all of the area businesses are rallying around the owners of the Mount Washington Tavern and trying to help them in the rebuilding process. While the Tavern has certainly sustained massive damage, the owners are vowing to rebuild and already had a contractor on site today. While I am not sure that there are things that neighbors can do to help directly today, I am sure that there will be in the upcoming weeks and months. However, you can certainly support the other area merchants now. In turn, the entire Village will come together to assist the Tavern in the rebuilding process.
